Social Media Executive

Job Introduction

MPS are on the lookout for a Social Media Executive to join our Brand and Marketing department on a full time, permanent basis!

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about social media and driving the success of a renowned organisation. Join this fantastic team and make your mark on the future of the brand.

You will be the lead for all social media platforms and opportunities including organic and paid with current scope including Meta, Twitter/X, LinkedIn, and Google (for display activity) as well as other emerging platforms by creating content strategy to maximise engagement. You will be provide analysis and insight to stakeholders across the organisation making strategic and tactical recommendations. We are looking for someone who has lived social media to drive forward our social media approach with experience of stakeholder management at all levels and has the aptitude to work in an intricate market.

We know flexibility is important to people and at MPS we want you to have the best work-life balance possible. This role has a blend of home and office-based working, to suit you and the needs of the business which is typically 2 days per week on-site in Leeds.

Role Responsibility

  • Planning and developing social media campaigns
  • Crafting compelling content or getting it developed
  • Posting content across social media accounts
  • Analysing running campaigns
  • Being on top of the latest social media trends
  • Curate, create and adapt content for each specific social network
  • Post and schedule content and management of published content
  • Identify threats and opportunities in user generated content surrounding the business. Report notable threats to appropriate management
  • Setting the tone for the community, being present, enforcing community guidelines, and potentially deleting posts when appropriate.
  • Review and update MPS social media usage policy

The Ideal Candidate

  • Demonstrable passion for social media management and a command over fostering on-going engagement across platforms.
  • Proven experience in this type of role
  • Excellent writing, editing and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to anticipate issues, set priorities and proactively develop strong relationships both internally and externally
  • Strong communication skills with ability to gain credibility and drive through ideas with colleagues
  • Experience of delivering social media marketing campaigns
  • Track record of increasing reach and engagement through management of social media accounts

Package Description

  • Hybrid working (Leeds office)
