Head of Actuarial Pricing & Analytics
Job Introduction
We are looking for an outstanding Head of Actuarial Pricing & Analytics to play a pivotal leadership role in shaping the future of MPS’s global pricing and underwriting strategy.
Reporting to the Chief Underwriting Officer, you will act as a trusted leader, strategist and technical expert. This is a rare opportunity to:
- Set the standard globally – Drive consistency in pricing models across all markets, reducing duplication of effort and enabling scalable best practice worldwide.
- Lead innovation – Champion sophisticated modelling, AI, and advanced analytics to enhance pricing maturity, strengthen risk insights, and inform strategic decision-making. Embed robust governance and risk management practices, ensuring pricing standards and underwriting policies are consistent and effective.
- Transform the business – Steer the design and delivery of a new global rating platform, integrating with core policy systems and reimagining how MPS prices for risk. Drive portfolio analytics and business planning insight, linking pricing strategy with financial performance and member outcomes.
- Inspire and lead – Provide commercial and strategic leadership to a high-performing actuarial and analytics team, while collaborating across underwriting, finance, and product teams. Promote best practice in pricing governance and contribute to underwriting and reserving committees.
About You
We are looking for a commercially astute and strategically minded leader with:
- Fellowship of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (or international equivalent).
- Significant experience in specialty (re)insurance actuarial pricing, ideally within long-tail casualty or professional/financial lines.
- A proven track record of delivering change, driving consistency, and embedding best practice in pricing governance.
- Strong leadership skills – able to build capability, mentor talent, and inspire teams across multiple regions.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at executive and board level.
