TALENT POOL - Legal/Claims assistants

Job Introduction

We regularly recruit for paralegal / legal assistant level roles for our Leeds, London and Edinburgh offices. We recruit these roles into our claims handling and advisory/regulatory teams. Our claims/legal assistants are key to ensuring that any claims or cases brought against our members are managed efficiently, with the best interests of our members and the member fund at heart.

We have various departments that you could be working in as a Claims/legal assistant at MPS. 

You could be responsible for assessing and triaging new claims, handling a caseload of UK or International claims, or managing high value/litigated claims. On the cases/regulatory side you could be responsible for assisting members through regulatory/disciplinary situations.

The Ideal Candidate

Our Claims/Legal assistant roles require individuals with an understanding of, or a passion for, Clinical Negligence law/claims or clinical regulatory processes. 

Whilst previous experience is ideal we really value the ability handle a busy workload and empathise with our members is key. if you can demonstrate one or more of the following we would like to hear from you:

  • Clinical negligence or personal injury legal experience
  • Regulatory/disciplinary handling experience
  • Insurance claims handling
  • Practical clinical experience
