TALENT POOL: For future Medico/Dento legal Consultant vacancies

Job Introduction

The Medical Services Department consists of case handling teams who provide medicolegal advice and support to our members, both in the UK and internationally.
The Medicolegal Consultants (MLCs) provide a range of medicolegal advisory services to Medical members worldwide in a number of different ways.

Whilst we don't have any current vacancies, we think we may be recruiting in the near future so would like to start seeing expressions of interest now. At this stage we won't be able to answer any questions about working hours, locations etc but the attached document should answer most general queries.

 

Role Responsibility

The purpose of the role is to provide medicolegal case management services to assist our members. In addition to this our MLC's are responsible for the promotion of Medical Protection, and the interests of the membership and the wider profession by means of education, teaching and involvement with external stakeholders and events.

The Ideal Candidate

The jobholder is required to have both graduate and, ideally, postgraduate medical degrees and/or diplomas and to be fully registered and licensed with the recognised regulator within the relevant jurisdiction (e.g. the GMC). A healthcare law qualification would be advantageous but is not essential.
