Senior Cloud Engineer

Job Introduction

An opportunity exists for a Senior Cloud Engineer to provide technical leadership for our Cloud Infrastructure Team, delivering solutions across the MPS Group and ensuring we can provide a high quality, trusted, service to our members. This will be achieved through the design, maintenance and day to day management of Cloud platforms which are scalable, reliable, resilient and performant.

The role holder will take a role in shaping and delivering the MPS technical strategy, including delivering new technologies and working approaches, whilst ensuring 'BAU' obligations are met on a day to day basis.

Role Responsibility

  • Providing technical leadership to deliver the corporate strategy, ensure optimal business performance and reinforce the desired culture.
  • Acting as a senior technical point of escalation for Incidents, Requests and Problems relating to Cloud services.
  • Making suggestions on how processes, tooling, solutions and ways of working can be improved and take the initiative on implementing these.
  • As the technology landscape continually changes, keeping abreast of evolving trends, solutions and principle; making recommendations where relevant as to how MPS could utilise these.
  • Acting as an Ambassador for Cloud adoption, assisting in the creation and adoption of a 'Cloud Centre of Excellence; ethos throughout the business.

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will hold one of the Microsoft AZ104 or AZ500 certifications and have proven experience in a Cloud Infrastructure role. They will be familiar with the M365 suite, and have demonstrable experience in implementing robust Cloud solutions and selecting services based on workload requirements.
