Project Manager

Job Introduction

The Purpose of the role is to manage the delivery of multiple end to end business and technological projects aligned to the MPS strategy whilst ensuring projects are delivered with appropriate project techniques and in line with best practice to deliver Project outputs that enable benefits aligned to MPS strategic priorities to be realised.

Role Responsibility

  • You'll build and maintain productive relationships with the business, senior internal stakeholders, external stakeholders and PMO to ensure the end-to-end delivery and governance of specific programmes of change to agreed scope, within budget and to deadline
  • You'll develop engagement opportunities with key stakeholders to ensure project deliverables are understood and accepted 
  • It will be your responsibility to effectively champion and support change processes and tools, ensuring best practice is adopted across the wider change team
  • Ensuring Quality Management of the Delivery Approach 
  • You'll be expected to keep abreast of evolving legislation and best practice; including recommending opportunities for MPS to become more efficient and maintain compliant with relevant regulations

The Ideal Candidate

  • You'll be PRINCE2 / APM qualified or similar
  • Experience working in an AGILE environment, with an understanding of Waterfall methodology too
  • You'll have generalist Project Management experience - Business Continuity, Disaster Management working with both business and IT suppliers and stakeholders, including 3rd parties would be favoured
  • Experience in a regulated background with strong project governance is preferable 
  • Clear, effective and influential communication skills as you'll need the courage and ability to challenge stakeholders
  • A skilled facilitator, with an innovative and analytical work style 
  • Eager to work within an expert team and a globally recognised and renowned organisation, and the ability to take the lead when required
  • Excellent organisational and planning skills, with an ability to prioritise key tasks and strong focus on delivering them
