Job Introduction

We have an exciting opportunity for a HR Administrator to join our People Services team based in Leeds, either on a full time or part time basis (4 days per week).

As our HR Administrator, you will be responsible for providing first line support and advice to employees on all contractual and process related aspects of their employment. Primarily supporting the HR team by delivering efficient, effective and accurate day to day administration in all aspects of the employee lifecycle.

You will utilise your high levels of attention to detail and thrive in a fast paced, delivery environment to enhance employees’ and new starter experiences. 

Our People Services team are pivotal in supporting our wider People & Culture division to ensure effective, and efficient administrative support of People Policies and Procedures, Payroll, Recruitment, Benefits, and Training & Development.

Whether you’re a seasoned administrator or at the start of your career in HR, this role will offer varied exposure to all human resources disciplines.

We know flexibility is important to people and at MPS we want you to have the best work-life balance possible. This is a hybrid role is based at our Leeds office on a with an expectation of 1-2 days per week at our offices.

Role Responsibility

  • Support our wider People and Culture team with policy amendments, minute disciplinary meetings and work alongside our Talent Acquisition team for any recruitment requirements, including interview scheduling and contract generation
  • Work closely with people leaders and develop harmonious relationships across the offices and departments.
  • Ensure all people services transactions and contacts are processed, distributed, recorded, and fully resolved in a timely, accurate and confidential manner in accordance with SLA's
  • Maintain colleague personnel files and distribute HR-related documents to colleagues
  • Support with monthly and annual HR processes (payroll, salary review, bonus benefits)
  • Promote positive employee relations and champion a community environment which enables the diversity agenda and wellbeing of our colleagues
  • Support on assigned projects to ensure the smooth delivery and that these are time and cost efficient
  • Keep abreast of evolving legislation and best practice, recommend opportunities for MPS to become more efficient and effective in People and Culture practices

The Ideal Candidate

  • Graduate or minimum Level 3 Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (or studying towards)
  • Proven practical work experience within a HR role
  • Ability to prioritise work and manage multiple activities
  • excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrate attention to detail / accuracy
  • Up to date knowledge of employment law, best practice, contemporary approaches and HR policies and procedures
  • Experience of pay and benefits administration
  • Knowledge and application of People and Culture and employee relation approaches

Package Description
