Please Note: The application deadline for this job has now passed.

Job Introduction

We are looking for a confident communicator to join our small, friendly and passionate Membership team on a full time, fixed term basis until 31st July 2023.

In this role you will focus on providing world class service to our Australian dental members, servicing their membership related needs, including processing new membership applications, renewals and changes as well as handling insurance cover enquiries from existing members.

Our team is working in a hybrid way, which will typically see you working onsite 1-2 days per week in our modern office hub in Brisbane, and from home for the rest of the week.

Role Responsibility

  • Provide a professional and friendly member experience by responding to enquiries from existing and new members, and action requests relating to their membership in a timely manner.
  • Manage the processing of all membership applications, renewals, changes and queries in all systems.
  • Manage the membership email inbox and related workflow folders.
  • Update and manage the membership database and ensure all member correspondence is correctly electronically filed.
  • Provide information to existing and potential members on membership benefits and services, membership fees, categories and concessions and CPD events.
  • Refer all calls/emails regarding clinical matters to the Dento-Legal consultants for assessment, ensuring all member queries are answered immediately.

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will have experience working in a customer service environment, whether this be in a contact centre or face to face, always endeavouring to deliver world class service, displaying empathy and managing difficult conversations confidently.

As this role predominantly involves you talking to members via the telephone, you will be someone who enjoys having conversations with people, building rapport and solving problems. We also communicate with our members via email, so you will need good written communication skills as well.

We are looking for someone with good attention to detail and accuracy when inputting information into the systems.

Diversity and Inclusion

We welcome applicants from all backgrounds, and we encourage you to apply even if you feel you do not match 100% of the technical requirements.  We celebrate diversity, promote inclusivity and strive to create a work environment which ensures everyone can be heard.

What’s important to MPS is that our people live our values of Member First, Ambitious, Determined and Empowered.
