Member Programme Lead

Job Introduction

Our evolving Member Risk Prevention strategy has given rise to this dedicated role, Member Programme Lead which will report directly to the Head of Risk Prevention.

The Risk Prevention Team is at the core of MPS’s value proposition to individual members and corporate clients, providing expert education, advice and training to help members prevent risk and support professional practice.

We are looking for a strategic entrepreneur with a high level of commercial acumen to lead this attractive opportunity which is focussed equally on values and professionalism as well as results and quality.

The Member Programme Lead will oversee a Member Risk Prevention strategy, leveraging our extensive product portfolio to develop delivery plans and budget globally, ensuring a high level of engagement with current and prospective members.  The role is responsible for contributing to MPS’s overall value proposition to members as it relates to “prevention” of risk and supporting of professional practice.

Role Responsibility

  • Collaborate with key stakeholder departments across MPS such as Business Development, Planning, Proposition and Brand and Marketing, to ensure alignment and integration of the Risk Prevention Member strategy, plans and budget.
  • Understand the competitor education landscape to develop an attractive and differentiated risk prevention proposition, identifying issues and topics to be the subject of development of courses and services to individuals.
  • Develop and utilise knowledge of developments in global healthcare, market and member segments and inform the Risk Prevention development team, insights, product and proposition teams to ensure currency of knowledge and understanding.
  • Understand and share internally within Risk Prevention knowledge of member segment characterises and market information.

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will know exactly what we mean when we refer to the 4 P’s and 5 W’s and a H.

You will have extensive knowledge of product portfolio creation and management, with experience of bringing this to market in a competitive environment, as well as exposure to product proposition success and failure. 

You will likely hold a post graduate professional degree in education (or similar) or previous work experience in this field, coupled with high commercial acumen.

You are someone who can analyse information from a variety of sources to identify trends and issues that are of high interest to individual healthcare professionals.

Other key factors which will set you up for success in this role:

  • Excellent senior stakeholder management skills
  • Project management experience
  • Understanding and applying problem and opportunity framing
  • Strong strategic, operations and budget planning ability
