Medical Leader - Global (Hospital Programme Lead)

Job Introduction

Cognitive Institute is currently in an exciting expansion phase and is looking to recruit an inspiring Medical Leader committed to making a global contribution to the continued development of hospital-based healthcare.

As our Hospital Program Lead, not only will you build and develop the gifted faculty that already delivers Cognitive Institute’s programs in Australia, but as we are a fully owned subsidiary of the not for profit  MPS - the world’s largest medical indemnifier- your remit will extend to the global leadership of all hospital-delivered interventions for MPS’ Risk Prevention Department.

Role Responsibility

  • Leading the development of  strategy
  • Training and supporting the professional team of healthcare experts who deliver  interventions to world class standard
  • Providing content and healthcare expertise
  • Supporting  business development and marketing  
  • Acting as an ambassador with key stakeholders, healthcare organisations and MPS members
  • Supporting client management, product implementation and content design questions
  • Identifying consequential emerging healthcare issues and developing solutions for our hospital services on a Global basis.

The Ideal Candidate

We are seeking a passionate global citizen who

  • is a Medical Specialist with recent hospital/clinical & leadership experience
  • has had a Senior leadership role in a significant healthcare organisation

To be successful in the role you will need

  • Management experience of influencing senior stakeholders across Government, Healthcare, Business and Professional Associations
  • Experience of and/or significant understanding of both Government and the Private Hospital Industry
  • Outstanding presentation skills
  • Sound writing/publication skills
  • Strong strategic, operations and budget planning ability
  • A Willingness to undertake international travel and be domiciled in Brisbane

    Other desirable traits include

  • Development of high quality educational products or services
  • International experience of healthcare financial services, insurance and/or regulation
  • A Qualification or experience in risk management or patient safety

Package Description

  • Superannuation 9.5% contribution
  • Annual bonus scheme up to 22% (for permanent roles)
