IT Service Analyst

Job Introduction

We have an exciting opportunity for a tenacious self-starter to join the Service Delivery team in our Digital & Change division. Reporting to the Service Desk Manager you will be responsible for the delivery and management of IT assets within MPS while also contributing to the development and management of new and existing contracts, managing them through their lifecycle.

We are excited for you to bring your passion for IT, budgets and procurement to the IT Service Analyst role and our dynamic team who are all focused on contributing to the Digital & Change strategy.

Role Responsibility

  • Lead the delivery of IT Asset Management within the Digital & Change division, ensuring processes are documented and understood. This will include conducting regular review points to check the accuracy of the asset details, working with finance partners to ensure asset depreciation is accurate where required and working with Service Managers to ensure assets are kept up to date by teams.
  • Lead budgetary management, processes and controls as required, working with Service Managers to support process improvements/process re-engineering initiatives that are focused on reducing costs and enhancements to our service/operations.
  • Oversee procurement of IT software and hardware against budget and manage maintenance renewals for IT hardware and software.
  • Maintain and review software inventory and licensing, suggesting areas where cost efficiency could be improved. 

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will have excellent ICT awareness along with:

  • Experience of ITAM (IT Asset Management) processes and controls
  • Use of software such as the Microsoft Office suite, including Excel and Word
  • Strong knowledge of IT budgetary processes and IT service components/equipment
  • Familiarity with IT procurement process, such as buying and raising invoices

The successful candidate will be a self-motivator with a drive for delivering excellent service; using their talent for communicating and building relationships, you will build a solid network of internal and external stakeholders at all levels.

Key to this role is effective planning and organisational skills; you will also need to hold excellent attention to detail.
