Head of Infrastructure and Operations

Job Introduction

We have an exciting opportunity for a Head of Infrastructure and Operations to join us on a permanent basis. As a key member of the senior IT leadership team you will be responsible for setting the mission, vision and strategy of our Infrastructure and Operations globally.

If you're someone who has experience working in a complex organisation implementing transformational initiatives where the target state includes agile, DevOps and cloud adoption, then this could be your next move.

Role Responsibility

  • Build successful stakeholder relationships with other IT and business key stakeholders by developing a clear understanding of business needs, acting as a trusted advisor, and ensuring cost-effective delivery of IT services to meet those needs.
  • Collaborate with the Information Security Lead to ensure I&O contributes to, embraces, and applies security strategy.
  • Work with key stakeholders to measure and prioritize technical debt remediation.
  • Support the Executive Director – D&C and Lead Architect by implementing infrastructure solutions that align to the enterprise architecture framework and roadmap.
  • Develop the maturity of I&O to improve efficiency, deliver new innovations and increase collaboration with other IT and business areas (e.g., through Agile, DevOps, platform, and product approaches).
  • Continuously evaluate the business value of I&O, including the use of metrics such as Key Performance Indicators, Outcome Driven Metrics and Objectives and Key Results.
  • As the technological landscape continually changes, keep abreast of evolving technological innovation, market trends and best practice; recommend opportunities for MPS to become more efficient and effective in I&O practices

The Ideal Candidate

You'll bring exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to develop and communicate an I&O vision that inspires and motivates staff and aligns with the IT and business strategy.

Ideally you you will be experienced in implementing transformational initiatives where the target state included agile, DevOps and cloud adoption at scale.

Consensus building to make decisions based on many variables and gaining support for major initiatives is something you are highly skilled at.  A conceptual thinker you can get to the why? and connect disparate concepts to find innovative ideas and solutions. 

MPS are a global organisation, so experience maximising both nearshore and offshore resource models would be of great advantage.
