Financial Controls Business Partner
Job Introduction
We have an exciting opportunity for a Financial Controls Business Partner to join the Financial Reporting team!
As the Financial Controls Business Partner, you will bring specialist knowledge and skills to both influence and support compliance with the MPS Financial Control Framework (FCF). Your contribution will play a crucial role in promoting a cost-conscious culture and further securing the strong, long-term financial sustainability of our global organisation.
In this role, you will leverage your internal controls and audit expertise to drive compliance and enhance our financial control practices. By actively influencing and supporting the implementation of the FCF, you will ensure that our financial controls are robust and aligned with industry standards.
Reporting into the Head of Group Financial Reporting & Control, you will work closely with the wider Finance team and other operational areas to ensure that our core financial processes and controls are well documented, operate effectively and reported on regularly.
Role Responsibility
As our new Financial Controls Business Partner, you will also:
- Support the delivery of the Finance strategy, ensuring that finance related activities comply with the necessary regulatory and legal standards.
- Ensure that core financial processes and key controls operate effectively, supporting the accuracy and completeness of financial reporting information.
- Advise on the streamlining of processes and support in the documentation of controls within such processes.
- Support the development of control testing and report on the efficacy of controls across the Group.
- Ensure overall process documentation is complete and accurate in accordance with the FCF.
- Partner with Process and Control Owners to support the development and maintenance of effective financial control processes and procedures.
- Provide advice and guidance on the development of new processes and controls.

If you have a track record of testing controls, reviewing processes, writing reports, and strong stakeholder management, coupled with an eye for spotting areas of improvement in financial processes, we want to hear from you!

Package Description
Alongside a competitive salary of £47,000 - £56,000, you will also receive:
- Up to 15% discretionary annual bonus
