Job Introduction

The purpose of this role is to directly negotiate and settle pre and post litigation claims up to an individual value of £500,000 damages.  The post holder will work as part of a collaborative, co located team including in house dentists, litigation solicitors (both internal and external), quantum and costs advisors and support staff.

Role Responsibility

Our Claims Negotiators directly manage a pre and post litigation caseload of claims individually worth up to £500,000 damages through to resolution.

The overall goal of the role is to take responsibility for settling a claim quickly and cost effectively, ensuring the best interests of our member.

Alongside this you will need to ensure accurate claims estimates are set and kept up to date and that all claims data entries are complete and accurate

We need someone who can be proactive in the resolution of claims, applying principles of justice and equity at all times, ensuring that MPS is perceived as an organisation which protects its members but also applies sound judgement and commercial good sense.

This is a fast paced and dynamic role that suits someone who loves to negotiate and resolve a matter. This role gives a fantastic opportunity to work in a niche role within the complex and challenging world of clinical negligence!

The Ideal Candidate

This role requires and individual who can demonstrate determination, negotiation and resilience. You must be articulate and persuasive and have  the ability to remain calm and professional in the face of challenge and assertion. 

The successful candidate will be confident in settling and negotiating via telephone and be focused on the end goal of closing a matter down quickly, focusing on the member and the commercial interest of the business.
