Job Introduction

MPS is looking for a Data Architect who is passionate about data and technology to join a growing architecture function within the Digital & Change division. You will be required to work across the business to design and maintain the enterprise data models and fulfil the strategic data needs of the business.

• Data blueprints and roadmaps aligned with the MPS’s strategy
• Data Modelling (HLD and LLD) Conceptual and logical Data Models produced from Business Requirements
• Providing advice to project teams and oversee the management of the full data life-cycle

Role Responsibility

• The design and creation of multiple data models and have a broad understanding of how each model fulfils the needs of the business
• The accountability of the organisation’s data strategy
• Championing data architecture across the organisation, and setting the standards and ways of working for the data architecture community
• Create and maintain current- and target-state data architectures
• Define and manage standards, guidelines and processes to ensure data quality
• Ensure technology solutions are in alignment with data architecture principles and target state
• Oversee end-to-end data life cycle management activities
• Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies for data management, storage and analytics

The Ideal Candidate

• Previous experience of working as a Data Architect
• Expertise in Data Modelling within a structured architecture repository
• Experience of working with both Technical and Non-Technical Teams
• Ability to define and implement Data Standards
• Understanding of a variety of Metadata Management approaches
• The ability to turn business issues into Data Architecture design
• Data Analysis and Data Governance
• Risk Management
