Job Introduction

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Negligence Lawyer to join us on a Fixed Term Contract basis until End April 2021.

Our Claims Managers are key to ensuring that any claims brought against our members are managed efficiently, with the best interests of our members and the member fund at heart.

We have various departments that you could be working in as a Claims Manager at MPS. 

You could be responsible for assessing and triaging new claims, handling a caseload of UK or International claims, or managing high value/litigated claims. 

Role Responsibility

• Deliver the performance of assigned claims files in accordance with governance, policy and process ensuring quality and fair outcomes for the member and the membership fund
• Proactively manage assigned claims files and work effectively to deliver within agreed SLAs ensuring maximum efficiency is achieved whilst providing an excellent service to the member.
• Manage informal complaints / expressions of dissatisfaction to achieve first touch resolution for our members and in accordance with policy standards and process ensuring fair outcomes for members, the membership fund
• Use technical expertise and commercial judgement to adopt a strategic approach to claims resolution whilst providing outstanding levels of service to the MPS membership
• Minimise claims costs by setting accurate claims estimates and proactively managing estimates, challenging costs and invoices from all third parties

The Ideal Candidate

Our Claims Managers role requires individuals with a deep understanding of Clinical Negligence law/claims along with the ability to take a strategic approach to claims management. 

We look for extensive claims management and/or litigation experience with a background in clinical negligence, personal injury or professional negligence litigation and excellent analytic, communication and negotiation skills.

We'd love to hear from candidates with either Medical or Dental experience.
