Business Development Executive - Hong Kong

Job Introduction

Our Business Development and Engagement division exists to ensure that business development, sales and marketing activities as well as operational engagement with members, other stakeholders and colleagues all go hand in hand. 

We are currently looking to appoint an experienced Business Development Manager to join our operation in Hong Kong.  Within the role you will scope, build and execute the delivery of MPS acquisition, engagement and retention activity in the development, alignment and execution of the relevant HK MPS memberships and related business activities.

Role Responsibility

  • Build, nurture, and grow international partnerships to create deep and robust working relationships at all levels including identifying and exploring future strategic opportunities.
  • Ensure members feel connected to MPS through the communication of compelling members propositions, identifying and resolving any members experience challenges included within an overarching business strategy.
  • Maintain awareness of competitor, members trends and new indemnity/insurance-related innovations in the marketplace.
  • Represent MPS in meetings with key stakeholders, members and other partners in the region.
  • Work as the KAM for the region within a cross functional team to ensure launch, roll-out, and deliver of all MPS membership propositions and services.
  • Coordinate the cross functional activity and resource aspects of the MPS business in Hong Kong with a wider exposure to the region, including the development of the Regional Strategy, Propositions and Plans.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Excellent relationship management skills - ability to establish networks and leverage these to generate a pipeline of opportunities and maintain sustainable business environment.
  • Experience within B2C / B2B2C markets within HK financial services/ insurance-related environment
  • Experience in organise business-related functions and activities
  • A strong leaning towards operational, conduct and compliance risk
  • HK insurance intermediary qualification papers 1&2 is not a must but would be essential
  • Business development and account management expertise
  • Track record in meeting and exceeding revenue objectives
