Business Development Executive - Malaysia
Job Introduction
MPS have been supporting members in Malaysia since 1975 and today we have more than 4,000 members! Therefore, we are excited to introduce an in-country Business Development Executive position so that we can reach more prospective members and expand our member portfolio.
Joining MPS initially on a 12month fixed term contract, the Business Development Executive will implement sales strategies within the Malaysia market to optimise customer acquisition, retention, customer satisfaction and brand engagement across specifically identified customer segments, life-stages, and geographical areas.
Your time will be divided between engagement, retention, and acquisition across the medical and dental segments.
You will also have a focus on pipeline activity of medical and dental students through to specialist registrars and the acquisition, retention, and servicing of corporate accounts across the territory.
We have an established Business Development team working together across the globe to achieve the organisation's corporate objectives and aspirations in line with our MADE values (Member First, Ambitious, Determined and Empowered). We are looking for a self-motivated, dynamic individual to join the team and help us achieve these goals!
Role Responsibility
- Achieve acquisition targets by preparing and implementing business development plans that meet MPS objectives.
- Identify opportunities to engage with prospective members / target audiences to promote the MPS brands, working closely with Marketing colleagues where appropriate.
- Demonstrably manage and develop leads to acquire business by producing proposals that differentiate our offering through brand, communication, product, pricing, and proposition; managing these from opportunity to submission and working cross functionally to ensure any proposals can be delivered by the wider business.
- Manage internal and external relationships to ensure a clear flow of communication between the member and the business where appropriate.
- Work with other Business Development and Segment Planning leaders to deliver the activity plans within budget.
- Seek opportunities to continuously improve ways of working and meeting member needs.
- Build and maintain key relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Role model a culture of commerciality across all areas of the role to drive operational effectiveness and efficiency.
The Ideal Candidate
To be considered for this role, you will need experience working in a targeted, member facing or business development environment, a sound grasp of account management and commercial principles are essential for the role.
Experience of implementing activity plans and achieving targets is key and you must be able to demonstrate an ability to work collaboratively across an organisation, coupled with the ability to communicate effectively and influence stakeholders.
As the independent BDE in-country, you will need to be self-motivated, flexible and have a full, clean driving licence.
As you will be working closely with medical and legal professionals, such as The Medical Association and our Legal panel, it would be advantageous if you have medical and/or medicolegal experience.
