Business Development Executive / Account Manager

Job Introduction

Our Business Development and Engagement division exists to ensure that business development, sales and marketing activities as well as operational engagement with members, other stakeholders and colleagues all go hand in hand.  Increasing competition, choice in markets and our growth into new markets means we need to create a step-change in our focus on acquiring, engaging and retaining members – doctors, dentists, healthcare professionals or organisations around the world – taking a truly global approach.

This is a home based role in Southern Ireland

Role Responsibility

The overarching role of our IRL Business Development Team is to acquire, engage with and retain Consultant members and Consultant Group Schemes within the IRL market by proactively engaging directly with members and prospective members. Our principal responsibilities include: Planning and implementing business development activities, identifying opportunities to engage with members to drive acquisition, retention, member satisfaction and brand management. We work cross-functionally to improve member experience and undertake measurement and analysis to improve our commercial capabilities.

Your time will be divided between retention and acquisition across the medical segment, with the primary focus on consultants in private practice within targeted specialities. In addition, the role requires a focus on pipeline activity of future consultants from the pool of Junior doctors through to specialist registrars. This can be via telephone, email or attending events and conferences.

The Ideal Candidate

In order to be considered for this role you will need evidence of working in a targeted, member facing or business development environment, a sound grasp of account management and commercial principles are essential for the role. Experience of implementing activity plans and achieving targets is key and you must be able to demonstrate an ability to work collaboratively across an organisation, coupled with the ability to communicate effectively and influence stakeholders. 

We would especially like to see applications from people within the healthcare industry although we will consider candidates from other professional services industries.
